How we handle personal information.
Yield Capital Investors Pty Ltd (ABN 69 633 995 203) handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you make an enquiry, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, ABN and the details of your enquiry. When you apply for a loan or an investment, we collect the further information needed to assess it and to meet our legal obligations, including identity verification.
Our website records limited technical information, such as your browser type and a one-way hashed form of your IP address, to protect our forms from misuse. We do not use advertising cookies on this website.
How we use it
- to respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request;
- to assess loan applications and investor eligibility;
- to meet our obligations under law, including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws; and
- to manage our relationship with you.
Who we share it with
We may share personal information with funding partners (where you have asked us to arrange finance with them), our Australian Financial Services Licence holder, service providers who host our systems, and professional advisers, regulators and others where required by law. Our systems are hosted by reputable providers; our database is hosted in Sydney, and some service providers (for example email and website hosting) may store or process data in the United States and other countries.
Credit information
If we need a credit report on a business, a director or a guarantor to assess a loan, we will tell you before we obtain it and handle it in line with Part IIIA of the Privacy Act and the Credit Reporting Code.
Marketing and retention
We only send marketing to wholesale investors and business contacts who have dealt with us, and every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, including record-keeping obligations under anti-money laundering laws.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint about how we have handled it, by writing to us at PO Box R281, Royal Exchange NSW 1225, by email to lending@yield.com.au, or through our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
